We want to see every family in Haiti using clean water in their home. We know we don't have the capacity to provide a Biosand filter for every family, but we do have the facilities and the knowledge to train others to do what we do.

Several times a year we host Technician Training classes for other organizations that want to start their own filter project. These training sessions are one week long and include two parts – theory and practical. In the theory session we talk about water contamination, water treatment, how to provide sanitation and hygiene education and project implementation. During the practical time our students work with our staff to learn how to build filters, prepare the different components of the filter, installations and trouble shooting. They can also see our filter production in full swing, giving them an example of what is involved in running a good project.

For more information about training please see our FAQ page. To enquire about available training dates please contact Leslie Rolling at office@cleanwaterforhaiti.org.

New filter technicians show off their diplomas.
